Classroom Tutor: Early Years


Location: Classroom Based at our Newcastle / Northumberland offices
Hours: Full time (37.5 hours, 8:30am - 4:30pm)
Salary: £28k - £32K depending on experience


About the Role
We are seeking a joyful, enthusiastic, dedicated Classroom Tutor to join our team and support the learning and development in Early Years sector. The successful candidate will create a nurturing, engaging and stimulating learning environment where individuals can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.


Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Early Years lessons and learning activities.
Support development across all areas of the EYFS curriculum.
Foster a positive, inclusive and joyful classroom environment.
Assess, monitor and record learners progress and achievements.
Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and our partners.
Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health, safety and wellbeing.


Essential Requirements
Certificate in Education (Cert Ed), PGCE, Level 4 Diploma in Education and Training, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Minimum Level 3 Early Years Education.
Strong understanding of the Early Years training including SEND
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A warm, patient and positive approach to working with unemployed and employed individuals.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners.


Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Early Years Education Qualification.
Experience working in schools, nurseries, or early years settings.

Joyful, energetic and passionate about learning.
Creative and engaging teaching style.
Reliable, organised and professional.
Able to inspire confidence and curiosity in learners.
A strong team player with a caring and nurturing approach.
